Hawk Talk

The Year 10 Media Studies class has been working with The Morning Bulletin this term creating an 8 page school newspaper called Hawk Talk. They were very successful in completing every aspect of the paper from start to finish.

Their tasks included working as reporters to interview people for stories and writing the articles. Completing the photography and designing the layout of the paper. Selling and designing advertisements for local businesses, as well as meeting deadlines set by The Morning Bulletin.

The students that worked on this project went on an excursion to the APN Print site to watch their paper get printed. They were in awe of the processes and machinery involved in printing newspapers. Hawk Talk came out as a lift-out in The Morning Bulletin on Tuesday 16th September.

The students would like to thank all the businesses that purchased advertising; Betapoly, DXL Projects, Zambrero, I Sew, Bernie’s Pies, Scouts, CQ Water Services, Scrutiny Strength and Conditioning, and Robbie D’s.

We would also like to thank the major sponsors for donating the funds for us to complete this project; EcoSmart Solar and Inferno.
