Creepytown

28/04/2016

Creepytown is shaping up to be another awesome North Rocky High musical. It’s a fun, light hearted story about vampires, witches, werewolves and zombies. It’s also a brand new musical, and we will be one of the first schools in Queensland to bring it to the stage. Rehearsals are every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons this term. The cast know their songs and are now busy creating their characters and learning their lines and the art rooms are buzzing with students making tombstones for the set as their lunchtime activity. Mrs Radel is sewing some beautiful costumes and the Media Arts students are excited about the special effects make up.

The Arts faculty would like to acknowledge the support of the P&C, whose $5000 contribution will be invested in improving sound and lighting equipment in the PAC. We would also like to give a big thankyou to Swadling Painting Contractors who have kindly donated $1500 towards the musical.

Tickets will go on sale soon for Creepytown which will be on Friday 12th (7pm) and Saturday 13th August (1pm and 7pm), here at North Rocky High in the PAC. Using the PAC here at school for our musical gives us the advantage of being able to lower the ticket costs and make the musical more affordable for families and we will also use the trade centre to offer dinner and a show. Seats will be limited and tickets will sell fast. We hope you can come along for a fun night out.
