ANZAC day commemoration service

On Monday 24 April, North Rockhampton State High School held an ANZAC Day Commemoration Service.

Roy Savage who was the Commanding Officer of 14 RCU Cadet Unit from 1960-2005 presented the Commemorative Address. Roy told many stories to the students about his experiences with war. Many students remained behind after the parade to talk to Roy further about his experience.

Geoff Carter from the Rockhampton Brass Band, played the last post and reveille for the school this year.

On ANZAC Day, it was wonderful to see so many of our students representing the school at both the Dawn Service and town March.

I’d like to also thank the teachers who volunteered their time to assist with these events on the day.
