AIME high

25/03/2015

This week at our Celebration Parade, North Rockhampton State High School was recognised for its participation in the AIME (Aboriginal Islander Mentoring Experience) Program throughout 2014.

AIME provides a dynamic educational program that gives Indigenous high school students the skills, opportunities, belief and confidence to finish school at the same rate as their peers.

The school was presented with the AIME Hoodie Award by Jeremey Marou to recognise and celebrate the partnership between the school and AIME.

Many Indigenous students at North Rocky High have been involved in the AIME Program which has been proven to dramatically improve the chances of Indigenous students completing their senior education. The program has also provided students with the opportunity to learn about their culture and foster relationships within the school and community.
