Students are not required to purchase textbooks and equipment as the relevant books and equipment are provided on loan.

Each year, the State Government provides financial assistance to help offset textbook charges. The North Rockhampton State High School P & C Association has taken the decision to have State Government Textbook Allowance cheques paid directly to the school. As a result of this decision, parents are asked to contribute a set amount per student to enable the book and equipment hire scheme to proceed.
