Resource Centre
The Resource Centre provides a variety of resources for both the students and teachers to use. J08 - the computer area is a very popular area both during class time and both lunch breaks. We also have a particularly good fiction section and it is great to see so many students accessing these books. Reading has become more popular of late due to big hit movies such as Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. We try and promote reading as much as possible and will find particular books that students ask for. Teachers are also provided with a wealth of resources to use in their lesson planning. Teachers can ask to have programmes taped and we have an extensive video and DVD library for them to draw from.
The on-line catalogue can be accessed from all the computer rooms in the school, including the library computers.
The Resource Centre is a warm and friendly place where students and teachers can come to work or relax. It is open between 8.30 am and 3.15 pm each school day, including lunch breaks.
The Resource Centre is open before school and at lunch times for study and research, for quiet reading and games. There are a number of board and cards games available for student use during lunch times, including chess sets.
