Chaplain Rob Davey (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)

Chaplain Kevin Murray (Thursday)
Phone: 49247856

Assisting within the School Community at North Rockhampton High is a school based chaplaincy program. Both chaplains, Rob Davey and Kevin Murray are employed through Scripture Union Queensland to work alongside and complement the established school support network, assisting to provide students and staff the best experience, both in and out of the classroom, possible at North Rockhampton High.

The Chaplaincy program involves many different elements, but all focused on the care and physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of the school community.

Through the work of the chaplain proactive programs such as interactive sports and school based programs, visiting bands and community groups, life skills classes and extra-curricula community involvement are organized to enhance the students learning and enjoyment at school.

In addition to students finding a listening hear, a kind word of advice, a piece of daily encouragement or just a comfy chair to relax and enjoy a chat, the Chaplains at North Rockhampton High are there for any spiritual needs, queries or concerns searched for. Chaplains are there for the tough questions, the ones asked about the world around us but sometimes never answered.

A different perspective or an outside view on a situation is sometimes all that is needed to step forward and grow from an otherwise tough road block.

The North Rockhampton Chaplaincy Program is another open door to assist the school and surrounding community to increase the opportunities and perspectives of students and staff.
